Do you still find it silly to walk with a pole? Then simply try it here, in the largest Nordic Walking Park in Europe. Vital walking is the ideal sport for all people, regardless of age and size. It can be done everywhere, with little expenditure at any time of the year. Furthermore we, as a partner of the Nordic Walking Schools, offer you to take part, free of charge, in introductory or advanced courses.
All those who are already passionate about walking will be enthusiastic about the Nature Fitness Park Kronplatz, Europe’s largest Nordic Walking Park. Here 275 km of well marked walking trails await you. You may take any of the countless, moderate and more difficult ,walking tours in the midst of the breathtaking scenery of the Dolomite Mountains.
Depending on what you feel like and your fitness level, you can reach rewarding destinations at an easy pace or working up a sweat, over an impressive 1,163km of cycle paths and mountain bike routes. Here mountain bikers and cyclists are in the right place
Cultural Events: Emotions and fun for the whole family A multitude of various cultural events are awaiting you. Those who like to investigate the history of old venerable buildings and ruins as well as the art lovers who are interested in pieces of art such as handwoven articles, ceramics, wood carvings etc. made by the local artisans and craftsmen will be rewarded by their visits. If you would like to learn more about the way the people, especially the farmers lived in times long gone by a visit to the Dietenheim Voelkerkunde Museum would be most rewarding. Interesting also is a visit to a real operating cheese dairy in Toblach. There you may purchase local products. Other interesting places to visit nearby are Schloss Taufers, Kloster Neustift, the soldiers cemetery in Bruneck as many other fortresses and castles. A new highlight is the RIPA museum at the Bruneck castle. This museum was just recently opened by its founder Reinhold Messner. It is dedicated to all the mountain people , worldwide. In Rasen and in surrounding communities you may attend events where you will learn more about the land , the history and the local customs. During these events you’ll also have the opportunity to meet the people of the Pustertal and get to know them better.
